[ Astarion is weirdly nervous about this--it's probably obvious, both in their connection and in his posture, not quite as held together as he normally is. He got another memory and it is weighing on his mind. Part of him thinks he shouldn't ask, but another part of him wants to compare notes on this.
He knows on Raphael's door, it's not quite morning but it's getting pretty close to the end of the night. Around the time good little vampires go to bed but he's too amped up. ]
[ Raphael is indeed dressed in his "night" clothes, pondering retiring for his rest. Perhaps it is his connection with Astarion that gets him to hesitate on those plans though, before his former novice even manages to knock.
